| Project #1 - Children of Alliouagana |
ALLIOUAGANA Alliouagana is the native name for the island of Montserrat which was originally inhabited by Tainos (Arawaks) moving north from South America along the eastern chain of Caribbean islands, and subsequently occupied by the Kaliganu people (Caribs) prior to the arrival of Europeans in 1493.
This project seeks to identify and document the accomplishments of the sons and daughters of Alliouagana in the 20th and 21st centuries - citizens of distinction, high achievers in their respective fields of activity, outstanding personalities in the professions, the arts, scholarship, public service, entrepreneurship, religious and community service, sports, labor and government.
Intellectual and financial contributions of citizens, researchers and people of goodwill who wish to support this project would be welcome. Biographical data, resumes, personal and institutional records, photographs, letters, and suggestions for corrections and improvement would all serve to expand and enrich the archival resources of the beloved homeland.
